Some of the powders are slightly hygroscopic (retain moisture) and this can result in clumping. This can be broken apart with a spoon before taking or dissolved in water.

SERVING SUGGESTION: Glutamine should be taken with cold or room temperature foods or liquids. It should not be added to hot beverages because heat destroys glutamine. Average serving would be ¼ to ½ teaspoon added to food or liquid.

TIPS: Best taken in divided doses on an empty stomach as it is sensitive to stomach acids. The best times to take it are in the morning, after a workout and before going to bed. Taking glutamine when you wake up is ideal because your muscles have gone all night without nutrition.
