Currants are produced from small seedless black grapes that have been dried. These naturally sweet Australian ‘Carina’ variety of currants, which are smaller and firmer than sultanas, are packed with intense fruit flavour and have a deep purple-black colour. They are vine-ripened, non-GMO, have no added preservatives and have not been irradiated. Currants are a delicious and convenient snack, that is also great added to breakfast foods, baked goods and sweet or savoury recipes.
