Description
This nutritious ancient grain can be substituted for rice or quinoa in savoury or sweet dishes. A highly versatile grain with a distinctive flavour, it can be cooked, roasted or mashed. The millet seed is hulled, meaning the outer white husk is removed. It is an alkaline grain and very easy to digest.
Suitable for porridge, casseroles, stuffings, side dishes, salads, soups and gluten-free recipes.
Cooking Instructions: Cook 1 cup hulled millet in 3 cups water for 25-30 minutes to yield approx 3 cups.
